This adapter kit allows you to attach a CHEVY V8 LS Gen3 & 4 transmission to a BMW M57 turbo diesel engine (North American Models, 2.5L and 3.0L).
We supply you with everything needed to bolt your transmission to a BMW M57 diesel engine.
Automatic and manual transmissions work with our kits, unless otherwise stated. Please specify above what transmission type you plan to use.

CNC machined billet aluminum plates, anodized finish, 2 inches thick for extra firewall clearance, and three engine clocking positions.
Crank adapter; nitride case hardened for high performance applications (up to 800ft-lbs torque). Pilot bearing pre-installed for manual kit.
Generic Toyota V8 starter motor; Our kits come with a readily available, high quality Denso style starter motor. These starter motors can be purchased at any auto parts store.
Installation hardware for bellhousing, crank adapter, and starter. No flywheel/flexplate bolts are included; use your existing OEM flywheel bolts.
How does it work?
Our adapters make the back of the BMW M57 engine physically resemble the back of the original engine it is replacing. No drilling or welding required, no custom flywheels, or shorted input shafts. Any transmission that originally bolted to your engine will work with this adapter kit.
Why are there two adapter plates?
Our two plate system allows you to clock/rotate the engine while keeping the transmission in the stock orientation. There are two different clocking positions: 10 degrees, or 20 degrees (OEM angle).
Do I need a flywheel or flexplate?
Our kits utilize the original flywheel or flexplate from the original engine being replaced. You will not need the BMW M57 flywheel, clutch, torque converter, or starter motor.
How accurate is the transmission alignment?
We use our Aerospace Grade CMM to pull all the dimensions off the original engine. It allows us to precisely reverse engineer the bolt pattern down to 0.0001". Exact bellhousing hole locations are critical for maximizing transmission bearing life and internal component binding.
